Rainbow Falls and Apple Blossom

This last week has been... interesting. Last Sunday I started to feel sick and ended up throwing up. I was sick the next couple days and missed two days of work. By Wednesday I was feeling a lot better and had so much more energy. We went up to Stehekin on Thursday with Lindsea and Travis and were able to take a drink out of Rainbow Falls. Amazing water!!! Even though the bakery was closed, the trip up was worth it. Especially with Lindsea freaking out because of the "white caps" from the Lady of the Lake.

Apple Blossom was Saturday. We started it off with the Pig Jig early in the morning. We had a big group to walk the 2K. I didn't want to run but I still wanted a shirt, so the 2K was perfect and I think we may just do that every year now. It was fun to just walk with family, even though all of us just wanted to walk over the Grange for the wonderful Pancake Breakfast (the best part about Apple Blossom).

We were worried that we wouldn't get our annual Apple Blossom sunburn because of the rain. But thankfully it cleared up and we did get our sunburns, some more than others. It was fun and reminded me of being in the royalty (and made me miss it like crazy!). The girls looked beautiful and seemed to enjoy it all.

After the parade everyone got to take naps... and I got work! Woo... But I was able to make it back in time to see mostly everyone at our milkshake party Marissa organized (and made all the yummy milkshakes).

When Sunday came around, pretty much everyone was sick. Marissa started realizing how good of a sister I am and used her "sickness" to her advantage. We stayed up late watching movies but I finally fell asleep around 4. I got woken up by her at 8 telling me she had an appointment at the clinic at 8:30. I had a hair appointment at 9:30 that I realized I would miss. I drove her in (old make up on and greasy hair) to her clinic and dropped her off. I went to Radioshack to go have them check out my phone and see why it won't charge, they were closed. I then decided I would just stop at the salon and let them know I won't make it, no one was there. It was too early. So I decided to stop by Starbucks then headed back to the clinic.  I waited for my wonderful sister and finally, her appointment was done. I then took her to Safeway to get her meds and something to eat. It felt like we saw everyone and of  course we would. We both hadn't showered and didn't look our best. We finally made our way home, and yes, Marissa continued to have me do things for her. What a amazing sister I can be.

Now I am just wasting time going to work and hoping I can get a sturdy second job to keep me occupied during the summer. The Winery has been super slow and I have gone home early the last two nights. So, we will see.
Only 17 days until CARRIE UNDERWOOD CONCERT!!!! :)

Kurt mentioned seeing you guys at Safeway, but he didn't say anything about day-old makeup or greasy hair. :) And if you have extra free time, you can always come hang out with us!

And yes, I laughed when I read about the Lady's white caps :)
