I love snow

The first week of break I swear I slept all day and ate all the candy that was available. I did go and make some apple cider with family on Christmas Eve, though.  There is nothing like a cup of homemade cider.  Marissa has been trying to get me to go sledding this whole break but we didn't want to go pack the snow down.  We ended up going sledding with Megan, Travis and their family up in an orchard on the way up to Echo.  It was tons of fun and entertaining to see people flip and run into snow.

Nick and I went snowmobiling up at Echo Valley with Michelli and Mitch. It is so pretty up there. Even though I am incredibly sore from holding on for 3 1/2 hours, it was worth it.

This morning my dad took Rissa, Nick, Katie Barnes and I up to Top Shelf to shoot, one of my favorite things to do when I come home.  I have been wanting to shoot a big gun and finally got to. :)

After taking a three hour nap, Nick, Marissa and I went sledding with Brian and Kyle to the same place we went with Megan.  We didn't get to go very long because it was getting dark and the boys were wusses and got head aches.

Christmas!

Rather than rambling about how the last two days went I will be lazy and just name off a few highlights:

1. Getting posters of "hunks" (marissa and I asked for posters of hot men for out apartment at school... mom had a different idea of hunks than we did. Check it out here: Mom's blog

2. Listening to a recording of my Grandpa Myron read "The Night Before Christmas"

3. I love how crowded our house gets when tons of family members are in town for Christmas and we try to make room for 60 people for dinner

4. My mom's face when I mentioned I asked for a rice cooker for Christmas and she had no idea what I was talking about. (She read the wrong email or didn't read the email at all... or something like that)

5. ...it's okay though, I still got my NorthFace jacket that I have been wanting

6. Going sledding with some cousins down a sweet hill and watching everyone else flip over or crash. and not having to walk back up because Miguel was nice enough to drive us up after we sledded down.

7. Having my little cousin yell, "Don't hold me! I'm poopy!!" when I tried hurrying him up because his family was trying leave.

8. Watching that same cousin eat dinner, two ice cream bars, an OtterPop, a waffle bowl with ice cream, and still want more. He is a beast.

and...

9. Watching my mom's face when she opened her new ring from my dad.

home. about time.

After countless hours of anatomy studying, playing volleyball every chance we got, watching movies like crazy (and hoping the "owner" of our projector forgets it when she gets married), having rissa move in, finding a dress for my sister's wedding, finding out that I wasn't getting a calling because my records never made it to my ward (I just thought I was lucking out... but at the same time i kinda was) and peanut butter&honey sandwiches every day to keep me going.... the semester is finally over.

I am back to where I can eat whatever I want in the fridge and cupboards (well... almost.), having tvs!, soft toilet paper and not the cheap brand that scratches, NO TRAFFIC, my mommy playing with my hair, and not having to care what I look like when I leave the house...

It's good to be home.

I still don't have all the classes I need for next semester, so I am hoping I can figure it out by the 4th of jan! but, i am going to get all I can out of this break.

it's beginning to look a lot like CHRISTMAS!

Well, I lasted the rest of the break and this past week. I had four tests and an assignment due (which I forgot about, thankfully the teacher came to class prepared to extend it. She knows college students way too well). Did really well on all of them! This semester is looking soo much better than last year. Anatomy lab is over. Which means no more looking at dead bodies and trying to figure out what organ is which or trying to figure out if the structure is a vein, artery or nerve. the final wasn't too brutal but a couple pins were extremely "I have no flipping idea." but I guess that's the case for most finals. I have a week to prepare for my other finals and then I am done for this semester! I can't wait.

I got my dress for Lindsea's wedding. :) and marissa and I got sweeeet heels to match. I can't wait, even though we may not have toes by the end of the day and my ankles might double in size.

Okay.. onto the good stuff. My apartment wanted a tree. A real one. One that we could smell every time we opened the door. We decided to ask Chris for help since he has a truck. I don't think he understood what he got himself into....

Marissa and I picking out a christmas tree, you can imagine. But he was a good sport.

After going to three stores we finally found some cute ornaments and a tree stand, headed back to the apartment and found a perfect spot for it. It took us a bit but we finally got the tree up... crooked. At that point we didn't care. ha (Marissa did fix it yesterday, though. I'm sure she would want all of you to know). Here is our tree :) :
